Trumansburg officials are moving forward with emergency services upgrades after securing new funding and clearing environmental review, according to The Tompkins Weekly. The projects include a new EMS building and upgrades to the Trumansburg Volunteer Fire Company facility.
The EMS headquarters is planned for village-owned land at Hector and Halsey streets.
The fire hall project calls for a 22,000-square-foot facility with more garage bays, private offices, radio rooms, bunk rooms and expanded locker rooms.
Consultants estimated the fire hall work at $2.85 million and the EMS building at $1.45 million.
The village is relying on a $1 million state grant and $3.5 million in federal funding secured in 2024.
