Zendaya and Anne Hathaway Lead the Best Dressed Stars at The Odyssey New York City Premiere

Zendaya and Anne Hathaway Lead the Best Dressed Stars at The Odyssey New York City Premiere

Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated ancient Greek epic, The Odyssey, isn’t hitting theaters until mid-July, but the cast is already turning the press tour into an absolute masterclass in mythological fashion.

If you saw any photos from the New York City premiere this week, you know exactly what I mean. The red carpet completely transformed into a high-fashion Olympus. Every single star embraced the movie’s Grecian vibes, delivering looks that felt incredibly deliberate, avant-garde, and effortlessly cool.

The whole night was a visual feast that gave us major outfit envy. But while the entire cast understood the assignment, two leading ladies absolutely stole the spotlight and shut the carpet down.

Zendaya’s Ethereal Goddess Energy

At this point, we just expect Zendaya to completely dominate a red carpet, but she somehow still manages to leave us breathless every single time. Playing Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, she brought pure, undeniable magic to the streets of New York.

She stepped out in a jaw-dropping custom gown by Matières Fécales, and the details were simply out of this world. The dress featured deep, textured pleats, a plunging neckline, and a daring thigh-high slit that gave the heavy fabric gorgeous movement.

But the absolute showstopper? The sheer tulle train and actual feather-adorned wings on her back. On anyone else, wings might look like a cheesy costume, but Zendaya made them look incredibly high-fashion and intentional.

To keep the outfit from feeling too heavy, she grounded the whole fantasy look with soft makeup and a perfectly messy, long braid cascading down her back. It was earthy, raw, and visually stunning from every single angle.

Anne Hathaway’s Masterclass in Maternity Style

Then we have Anne Hathaway, who plays Penelope, the fiercely loyal Queen of Ithaca. She proved once again why she is ultimate red carpet royalty. Currently expecting her third child, Anne delivered a breathtaking lesson in maternity style, showing off her bump with so much elegance and joy.

She was perfectly dressed in a custom Prada gown that embodied the royal, powerful spirit of her character. The look, styled by the amazing Erin Walsh, was anchored by a gorgeously flowing pleated champagne skirt that swept beautifully across the carpet.

The real magic was in the bodice—a dazzling, criss-cross crystal design that caught every single flash of the cameras. She paired the ensemble with flawless silver cuffs and snakeskin studs featuring tiny emerald eyes. It was a subtle, brilliant nod to the ancient world that kept her looking incredibly modern and radiant.

The Co-Stars Who Understood the Assignment

While Zendaya and Anne were the undeniable queens of the night, the supporting cast definitely held their own. Tom Holland as Telemachus looked incredibly sharp in a beautifully tailored chocolate-brown suit with a distinct collar and classic suede dress shoes.

Charlize Theron, as the nymph Calypso, provided a completely fresh, contemporary touch to the event. She opted for a chic custom Dior look in tailored shorts rather than a traditional gown, and finished off the whole aesthetic with a stunning gold and diamond choker and her trademark bold red lip.

Samantha Morton also wowed the crowd in a striking Margiela creation, celebrating her role as the witch-goddess Circe with a slicked-back hairstyle and smoky red eyeshadow. Finally, Elliot Page kept things effortlessly sleek in a perfectly fitted black suit and a subtle pinstriped shirt, walking the carpet alongside his girlfriend, Julia Shiplett.
