Auburn woman charged with aggravated DWI after car found in ditch

An Auburn woman was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after Cayuga County deputies found a car in a ditch in the town of Brutus.

Deputies responded near Cooper and Stevens roads around 9:56 p.m. Saturday and said Andrea C. Beagle, 44, failed field sobriety tests.

Beagle was taken to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building, where deputies said a breath test measured her blood alcohol content at 0.20%.

She was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated and moving from a lane unsafely, a traffic violation.

Beagle was released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Brutus Town Court at 7 p.m. July 21.

The charges are allegations, and Beagle is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
