Hochul campaign reports  million fundraising haul

Governor Kathy Hochul's reelection operation reported raising $17 million during the July 2026 filing period, including contributions to her campaign and the state Democratic Party.

The total includes money raised by Friends for Kathy Hochul and the New York State Democratic Party, which together reported $42 million in cash on hand.


Friends for Kathy Hochul raised $5.6 million and expected to end the filing period with more than $20 million available, according to the campaign. The state party raised $11.4 million and reported more than $22 million in cash on hand.

The campaign said 27,000 people donated during the period, with contributions coming from all 62 counties for the third consecutive filing. It reported that most contributions came from New York residents and that the average online donation was $20.

Since Hochul won reelection in 2022, her campaign and the state Democratic Party have raised more than $71 million combined, according to the release.

The release did not include the underlying campaign-finance filings or fundraising figures from other candidates.
