Two people were flown to Strong Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of state routes 245 and 247 in Gorham, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the crash happened at 3:17 p.m. and that one person was trapped in a vehicle when responders arrived.
Investigators said Seanne Hennessey-Brown, 67, of Fairport, was driving a Subaru Crosstrek south on Route 247 when she failed to yield to a Dodge Ram driven south on Route 245 by Brett Schutz, 24, of Naples.
The pickup struck the driver's door of the Subaru, deputies said.
Hennessey-Brown and a passenger were flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight Central and LifeNet of New York, and both remained there in guarded condition when the sheriff's office issued its release Tuesday.
Schutz and his passenger were checked by emergency medical personnel at the scene and took themselves to a local hospital for treatment, according to the release.
Rushville firefighters, Middlesex Ambulance and Canandaigua Emergency Squad also responded.
