A Rushville man was taken into custody Wednesday after turning himself in on a sex abuse warrant, according to the Yates County Sheriff's Office.
William R. Rosato, 22, surrendered at the sheriff's office at about 3:54 p.m. July 8 on an active arrest warrant issued out of Potter Town Court.
Deputies said Rosato was wanted on two counts of first-degree sex abuse under state penal law.
Rosato was taken into custody and held until the next session of centralized arraignment court, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office listed the arrest as complaint number 2026-05790.
Deputy Peters and Sgt. Garren were listed as Yates County Sheriff's Office staff on scene.
People charged by police are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
