A one-car crash in the Town of Potter ended with a driving while intoxicated charge Wednesday night.
Yates County deputies arrested Joanne M. Tober, 66, of Rushville, after responding to a motor vehicle accident at West Swamp Road and Ferguson Corners Road around 7:35 p.m.
Deputies said Tober failed to navigate a turn, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a snow-covered ditch.
Officers reported that Tober showed multiple signs of intoxication at the scene. Deputies arrested her and transported her to the Yates County Jail.
Authorities charged Tober with driving while intoxicated, moving from a lane unsafely, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having an unsafe tire.
She will remain at the jail until the next session of Yates County CAP Court.
