Deputies arrested a Geneva man after investigators said he violated an order of protection in the Town of Potter.
Steven W. Irish, 59, of Geneva, was taken into custody March 8 following a report of a violation.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 4:10 p.m. to a residence at 50 Voak Road for a complaint involving an order of protection.
Investigators determined Irish was at the home of a protected party despite a stay-away order being in effect.
Deputies later located Irish a short distance down the road and took him into custody.
Irish was transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment in CAP Court.
