An Arcadia couple was charged with animal cruelty after deputies said they failed to provide adequate care for animals in their possession.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Jerry Martin and Charisma Martin, both of Fairville Maple Ridge Road in the town of Arcadia, were arrested at about 7:30 p.m. June 26.
Deputies said the couple failed to provide adequate shelter, food and water to animals in their possession.
Both were issued appearance tickets, according to the sheriff's office.
Jerry and Charisma Martin are scheduled to appear in Arcadia Town Court at 3 p.m. July 15.
