A 17-year-old boy died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Sunday in the town of Arcadia, according to New York State Police.
Troopers from the Lyons barracks responded around 12:25 a.m. Sept. 13 to Wood Lane for a reported motorcycle crash.
State Police said the preliminary investigation determined the teenager was traveling west on Wood Lane on a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle when the bike left the north side of the road and entered a ditch.
The rider was found in a tree line near the motorcycle.
Emergency medical personnel performed lifesaving measures at the scene before transporting him to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
State Police did not release the teenager’s name.
The investigation remains ongoing.
