Rochester woman cited after Gorham motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash Wednesday in the Town of Gorham, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the crash happened June 24 near County Road 11 and Long Point Road. Investigators said Vanesa Mutapcic, 21, of Rochester, failed to yield the right of way to John Bucklaew, 62, of Middlesex, who was traveling south on County Road 11 on a motorcycle.

The sheriff's office said Mutapcic entered the roadway, causing Bucklaew to collide with her vehicle.

Bucklaew suffered serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital. Deputies said his condition was stable at the time of the release.

Mutapcic was issued traffic citations.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash with assistance from Middlesex Fire, EMS and Mercy Flight.
