A traffic stop in the Village of Lyons resulted in the arrest of a local man on driving while intoxicated and obstruction charges, according to police.
Ronald Norton, 31, of Lyons, was arrested at about 1:16 a.m. May 31 after officers stopped a vehicle on Saltonstall Street for a traffic violation.
Police said Norton exhibited signs of intoxication during the stop and was subsequently taken into custody on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
According to investigators, Norton later refused to cooperate with officers during processing, resulting in an additional charge of obstructing governmental administration.
Norton was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
