Bristol firefighters spruce up Station No. 2

A routine spring cleanup at Bristol Volunteer Fire Department’s Station 2 turned into a community improvement project thanks to a pair of the department’s newest members.

The fire department announced that Malcolm and Denise Comfort recently took the initiative to restore the station’s roadside sign, which had begun showing signs of wear. Station 2 is located at the intersection of County Road 2 and Baptist Hill Road.

According to the department, the Comforts removed the sign and repainted it as part of the project. Other members of the department joined the effort by power washing the station building before reinstalling the refreshed sign.

The work was completed as part of the department’s annual spring cleanup and maintenance efforts.

Department officials encouraged residents passing through the area to take a look at the updated appearance of the station.
