AUBURN: City Council talks tax cap, fiscal situation (webcast)

During Thursday’s Auburn City Council meeting, members were expected to consider a local law authorizing the city to override New York’s property tax cap for the 2026-27 fiscal year, along with several appointments, budget transfers, grant-related resolutions, and an agreement with BOCES for the Auburn Conservation Corps summer camp program. The agenda also called for a proclamation recognizing D-Day National Remembrance Day and the 299th Combat Engineer Battalion, honoring Auburn-area soldiers who served during World War II. In addition, councilors were slated to discuss a variety of administrative and financial matters affecting city operations and community programs.
