The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a Penn Yan-area man wanted on a bench warrant.
Authorities identified the individual as Angel F. Gonzalez, 50. According to the sheriff’s office, Gonzalez is wanted for failure to appear in court and failure to pay a court-imposed fine.
The sheriff’s office described Gonzalez as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 187 pounds. He has brown eyes and no hair.
Anyone with information about Gonzalez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at 315-536-4438. Tips can also be submitted by texting “YATES” to 847411.
Officials advised residents not to attempt to apprehend Gonzalez themselves and instead report any information directly to law enforcement.
