A Lowville man faces grand larceny and bad-check charges after deputies say he bought two chainsaws with a $5,015 check that bounced.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Ryan Clement, 40, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation involving Q's Power Equipment at 100 E. Miller St. in Newark.
Deputies allege Clement used the check to purchase two Stihl chainsaws and did not have enough money in his account to cover the purchase.
Clement was charged with third-degree grand larceny and issuing a bad check.
He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and released, with another court appearance scheduled for a later date.
