Victor’s championship run is still going strong.
Meaghan O’Brien scored with just over two minutes remaining in the second overtime, lifting No. 2 Victor to a thrilling 9-8 victory over top-seeded Pittsford in the Class B girls lacrosse final on Tuesday night at St. John University. The win secured Victor’s fifth consecutive sectional championship and eighth overall title.
Victor appeared to be in control after building a 7-3 lead through three quarters, but Pittsford stormed back in the fourth. The Panthers completed the rally when Grace Scott found the net with 37 seconds remaining in regulation, tying the game at 8-8 and forcing overtime.
After a scoreless first extra session, O’Brien delivered the decisive goal in the second overtime to send the Blue Devils pouring onto the field in celebration.

Gianna Hedden paced Victor’s offense with three goals, while Carlina DiFondi added two. O’Brien finished with a goal and an assist, McKenna Anderson contributed a goal and an assist, and Mia DeRosa and Lila Kubrich each scored once. Mia Finocchario made four saves in goal.
Victor’s Gianna Hedden, McKenna Anderson, and Lila Kubrich earned Class B All-Tournament honors, while Camryn Adrid was named tournament MVP.
