Two Waterloo teenagers are facing charges after police say they worked together to steal food from a local business earlier this week.
The juveniles, both 14 years old, were arrested around 10:05 p.m. on May 26. One was charged with petit larceny, while both were charged with sixth-degree conspiracy. Their identities were not released because of their age.
According to the Waterloo Police Department, the charges stem from an incident in which the teens allegedly agreed to steal food from a local business. Police said one juvenile acted as a lookout for employees while the other took the items.
Officers said both juveniles were later found in possession of the stolen merchandise. They were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear before the Seneca County Probation Department at a later date.
