A woman was arrested on felony drug charges early Friday after Seneca County deputies found suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside a vehicle parked at a Waterloo business, authorities said.

The charges stem from an investigation that began around 1:29 a.m. when deputies observed Thompson asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at a local business in the Town of Waterloo. During the investigation and subsequent interview, deputies reported locating a quantity of suspected narcotics in plain view inside the vehicle.

A further search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered additional suspected narcotics as well as multiple digital scales. Authorities said Thompson was in control of the vehicle at the time deputies made contact.

Thompson was taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing. After processing, she was turned over to the custody of the sheriff’s office corrections division to await arraignment in Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
