Victor seeks public input on future of School Street property

The Village of Victor Urban Renewal Agency is asking residents, business owners and developers to help shape the future of a recently acquired downtown property.

The agency announced it is accepting letters of interest regarding the potential development or redevelopment of 33 School Street, a property now owned by the URA. Officials said the effort is intended to gauge community interest and explore ideas for the site’s future.

According to the agency, the request is being made for planning and information-gathering purposes only and does not represent a formal request for proposals, an offer to sell or lease the property, or a commitment to move forward with any specific project.

Officials said the priority is identifying a project that aligns with the village’s long-term vision and generates broad public interest. The agency also reserves the right to reject submissions, seek additional information, launch a formal request-for-proposals process, negotiate with interested parties if permitted by law, or retain the property for public use.

Letters of interest should include a description of the proposed project, intended use of the property, relevant experience and any preliminary concept plans or supporting details. Submissions must be received by June 30.

The property sits in downtown Victor, where local officials have increasingly focused on redevelopment and economic development opportunities aimed at strengthening the village center.
