A shoplifting investigation at a Seneca Falls business led to multiple charges and the arrest of a man wanted on warrants in both Seneca Falls and Pennsylvania, police said.
Carlos A. Collazo Garcia, 37, was arrested May 28 following an investigation into an alleged theft at a local business. According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, Garcia selected merchandise and passed all points of sale without paying for the items.
During the investigation, officers discovered Garcia had an active arrest warrant through the Seneca Falls Police Department stemming from a 2017 harassment case. Police also learned he was wanted by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania on a fully extraditable warrant.
Garcia was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor; harassment in the second degree, a violation; and fugitive from justice, a felony.
He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he is being held pending arraignment.
