Seneca County Office for the Aging highlights services available to seniors, caregivers

The Seneca County Office for the Aging is encouraging older adults and caregivers to take advantage of a wide range of support programs designed to help seniors remain healthy, independent and connected within their communities.

County officials said the agency provides services for residents age 60 and older throughout Seneca County, with programs focused on helping seniors safely remain in their homes while maintaining quality of life.

Available services include home-delivered meals, congregate dining programs, nutrition counseling, transportation assistance, home repair services and in-home support with daily living activities.

The office also offers health insurance counseling, personal emergency response systems and legal assistance referrals for eligible residents.

In addition to direct support services, the agency hosts educational workshops, wellness initiatives, recreational programming and outreach efforts aimed at reducing isolation and promoting healthy aging.

“Our goal is to ensure that seniors in Seneca County have access to the services, support, and resources they need to live with dignity and independence,” Office for the Aging Director Amanda Faiola said in a statement.

Officials encouraged older adults, family members and caregivers seeking information about eligibility or available programs to contact the Seneca County Office for the Aging directly.
