A Locke woman is facing charges after deputies say she provided false identification during a traffic stop earlier this month in Cayuga County.
Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that Shannon L. Nobles, 42, was arrested April 16 on an outstanding warrant tied to the incident.
The charge stems from an April 4 traffic stop on Clark Street Road near Turnpike Road extension in the Town of Aurelius. Deputies said Nobles told the officer she did not have her driver’s license and provided the name and birthdate of another person.
Authorities later determined the information was false, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Nobles was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, along with traffic violations including speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation due to a suspended license.
She was taken into custody and brought to centralized arraignment, where she was released on her own recognizance. Nobles is scheduled to appear in Aurelius Town Court on April 22.
