Bath woman had BAC of .30% after crash near school

A Bath woman is facing felony charges after police say she crashed her vehicle near a school while heavily intoxicated.

Officers were dispatched Friday, April 17 around 2:15 p.m. to Maple Heights, in front of the Haverling VFW Primary School, for a report of a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a street sign.

When officers arrived, they found the vehicle with significant passenger-side damage and one occupant inside. Police noted that multiple parents and children were in the area as school was letting out.

Following an investigation, the driver was identified as Shannon Hall, 32, of Bath. Officers determined Hall was severely intoxicated, with a reported blood alcohol content of .30%, nearly four times the legal limit.

Hall was taken into custody and charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, reckless endangerment in the first degree, a Class D felony, and multiple traffic violations. She was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment, where she was later released.

Police said no injuries were reported in the incident.
