A seasonal promotion tied to one of McDonald’s most recognizable menu items delivered a significant boost for families in need across the Rochester area.
Local McDonald’s restaurants raised more than $38,500 during this year’s four-week Shamrock Shake campaign, with proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald House Rochester.
According to organizers, the funds will help provide approximately 194 nights of lodging and meals for families staying at the facility while their children receive medical care at nearby hospitals. The organization offers housing, support, and resources at no cost to families during extended treatment periods.
The annual promotion allows customers to contribute through small purchases, with a portion of each Shamrock Shake sold directed to the nonprofit. In recent years, the campaign has become a consistent source of funding for Ronald McDonald House programs in the region.
Officials said community participation continues to play a key role in supporting families facing serious medical challenges.
