Rochester firefighters visited The Harley School on Thursday to teach second-, third- and fourth-graders about family evacuation plans for emergencies at home.
The presentation covered household safety measures, according to a news release. Firefighters also showed students the protective gear they put on before responding to a call.
The visit was part of the school's annual Safety Week training. The school said the sessions were designed to make home fire safety less frightening for children while helping them prepare for an emergency.
