CANANDAIGUA — A Maryland woman is facing drug charges after Ontario County deputies say they found methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia during an investigation along State Route 96.
Shawnmarie English, 60, of Baltimore, was arrested April 15 following a report of a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of State Route 96 and Commons Boulevard, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the investigation led to the discovery of multiple capsules containing methamphetamine and fentanyl in English’s possession, along with drug paraphernalia.
English was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was taken into custody at the scene.
She was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment. The case was investigated by deputies with assistance from the New York State Police.
