Goodwill of the Finger Lakes will bring one of its signature fundraising events back to the region next month, with its annual Hope in Bloom Gala set for May 8 in Monroe County.
The organization said the event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa in Fairport, bringing together community leaders, supporters and partners to highlight the impact of its programs across Rochester and the Finger Lakes.
Proceeds from the gala will directly support Goodwill’s community-based services, which reached more than 171,000 people and families over the past year. Those programs include workforce development initiatives, the Goodwill Learning Academy, Vision Services, 211/LIFE LINE and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Organizers say the event will also spotlight personal stories from individuals who have benefited from those services, underscoring the role donor support plays in expanding access to resources and opportunities across the region.
Two local leaders will be honored during the evening. Former ESL Federal Credit Union President and CEO Faheem Masood will receive the Good Neighbor Award, while Dr. David DiLoreto of the Flaum Eye Institute will be presented with the Dr. Gwen Sterns Visionary Award.
