Aaron Judge homered for the second straight game, delivering a two-out solo shot in the fifth inning to extend the Yankees’ lead. The blast, which traveled 383 feet to left field, highlighted another strong performance from the middle of the lineup.

New York took control earlier in the third inning when Ben Rice delivered a two-run double to give the Yankees a 2-0 advantage. The offense did just enough to support another effective outing on the mound.

Starter Will Warren allowed one run, as the Giants ended a 20-inning scoreless stretch to begin their season with an RBI single in the third. Warren limited further damage, and the bullpen preserved the lead the rest of the way.

Jake Bird earned the win with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, while David Bednar closed the door for his second save. After allowing two singles to open the ninth, Bednar induced a game-ending double play to secure the victory.

Through three games, Yankees pitching allowed just one run while continuing to stifle San Francisco’s lineup.

The sweep marked a strong start to the season and milestone moment for manager Aaron Boone, who earned his 700th career win.
