Nearly 40 pots of chili filled the Ithaca Commons Saturday as the city’s annual Chili Cook-Off returned, according to WENY.
Local businesses and community groups served samples throughout the day while visitors voted for their favorite recipes. Organizers say the event marked the 28th year of the popular downtown tradition.
Proceeds support the Downtown Ithaca Alliance, helping fund free community programming throughout the year. The event also featured karaoke and a beard and mustache contest, while large crowds and sunny weather helped boost turnout.
