New York State Sen. Rachel May joined host Guy Cosentino on Inside Government to discuss the ongoing 2026–27 state budget process and her legislative priorities in Albany. May, who represents the 48th Senate District covering all of Cayuga County and parts of Onondaga County, also talked about issues affecting rural communities and the work of the committees she leads. She currently chairs both the Senate Committee on Consumer Protection and the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources. May is also seeking reelection this November.
