Canandaigua, Farmington seek volunteers for boards

Canandaigua and Farmington want residents to step up and help shape local decisions, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.

Canandaigua just launched two new advisory groups. One will guide trail planning and development, focusing on connectivity, accessibility and funding. The other will expand senior recreation and engagement as the town’s older population grows. Officials want input on programs, partnerships and facility needs.

Farmington also has openings on its Recreation Advisory Board, Agricultural Advisory Committee and Historic Preservation Commission. The town historian plans to retire April 30, creating a paid vacancy. Both towns ask interested residents to submit letters of interest to town officials.
