Shoplifting complaint leads to burglary charge in Victor

A shoplifting complaint at a Victor Target ended with a felony arrest Friday afternoon.

Tacalla Nichole White, 52, of Rochester, now faces charges of third-degree burglary and petit larceny, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the Target at 7500 Commons Blvd. around 2:44 p.m. on Feb. 21. Investigators say White pushed a cart of merchandise out of the store without paying. The items totaled $431.99.

Authorities say the arrest also ties back to a prior incident. Deputies previously arrested White at Market Place Mall on May 3, 2013. Officials banned her from all Wilmorite Properties for life on that date.

Deputies transported White to the Ontario County Jail, where she remained held pending arraignment.
