Bath man arrested after door kicked in on Chestnut Street

A late-night trespassing call in Bath led to an arrest days later after police say a man kicked in a front door and entered a home.

Police arrested Dylan M. Henry, 34, of Bath, around 2:18 a.m. February 12 on West Steuben Street.

Officers first responded to a home on Chestnut Street around 10:57 p.m. February 8 for a report of a trespass in progress.

The complainant told police that someone kicked in the front door and entered the residence. The suspect had left the scene before officers arrived.

Police say Henry kicked in the victim’s door, damaged it, and unlawfully entered the home.

Officers located Henry walking on West Steuben Street several days later and took him into custody without incident.

Police charged Henry with one count of Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and one count of Criminal Trespass in the second degree. Both charges count as Class A misdemeanors.

Officers processed Henry and transported him to the Steuben County Jail for CAP court. A court arraigned him and released him.
