Livingston County leaders are looking for people and groups who go the extra mile to protect the local environment.
The Livingston County Environmental Management Council has opened nominations for its 28th annual Earth Day Award. Officials will accept submissions until 4 p.m. on Monday, March 2.
The award recognizes individuals, businesses, agencies, or organizations for outstanding achievements in preserving or improving the Livingston County environment. The council also honors those who educate others about the county’s environment.
Nominees do not have to live in Livingston County. However, the actions and achievements must have occurred partially or entirely within the county. The accomplishments may have taken place during the previous year or reflect ongoing efforts spanning several years.
Both the public and private sectors can submit nominations.
