A 37-year-old man died Monday night after his SUV crashed on Interstate 390 in the town of Mount Morris, State Police said.
Troopers from the Geneseo barracks responded to the one-vehicle crash in Livingston County at about 10:20 p.m., according to a State Police release.
A preliminary investigation found that the 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer was heading north when it left the road, struck a guardrail and overturned.
The SUV traveled down an embankment and came to rest in a creek bed.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage and caught fire.
The driver, who was the vehicle's only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Livingston County coroner responded, and an autopsy has been ordered.
The investigation remains ongoing.
