Friday night delivered a full slate of Wayne-Finger Lakes high school basketball, with 18 games on the schedule and several coming down to the final minutes, including multiple league matchups.
The marquee game took place in Geneva, where the Wayne boys earned a road win over the Panthers. The Eagles held off a late Geneva push, knocking down free throws to secure the victory and split the season series after dropping the first matchup by 14 points back in mid-December. Elsewhere on the boys side, Palmyra-Macedon edged Waterloo in overtime, winning by one after the Tigers missed a potential game-tying free throw in the closing seconds. In girls action, Lyons completed a season sweep of their Route 31 rival Clyde-Savannah behind a 30-point performance from Car’Mella Parker.
