Deputies arrested a woman after responding to a domestic dispute on State Route 245 in the Town of Gorham.

Investigators said McQuay tried to stab the person with a pair of scissors and bit them on the hand. Deputies also said children were present during the incident.
Authorities said McQuay then destroyed the victim’s cell phone using a hammer.
Deputies charged her with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, attempted assault in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, menacing in the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Officials said deputies transported McQuay to the Ontario County Jail, where she awaits arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Gorham Court at a later date.
