Geneva police confirmed they located the man tied to an investigation and reached his family, according to the City of Geneva Police Department.
Officers had asked the public to help identify the 47-year-old after launching an active investigation in Geneva. Police described him as about 5-foot-8, around 200 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. Investigators believed he previously lived in the Greater Rochester area.
After releasing the alert Wednesday, police connected with the man’s next of kin and thanked the community for sharing tips. The department did not release further details about the case.
