Deputies responded just before 4 p.m. Friday to a stabbing on Sunflower Drive. The victim later died at Upstate University Hospital. Authorities said the suspect barricaded himself inside the home, set multiple fires, and refused to come out as SWAT and fire crews worked through the night.

Investigators later identified the suspect as Raoof Mustafa, 47, who now faces charges including murder, arson, and weapons possession. SWAT officers took him into custody around 5 a.m.

Neighbors described fear, helicopters, flames, and relief once it ended.
