A domestic dispute in Seneca Falls led to an early-morning arrest Tuesday, with police saying the incident happened in front of a child.
Officers arrested 38-year-old Brendan A. Wheaton around 1:40 a.m. after an investigation revealed he physically restrained the victim and made unwanted contact, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Police said Wheaton prevented the victim from leaving the home during the incident, which occurred while a child was present.
Wheaton was charged with unlawful imprisonment in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child — both misdemeanors — as well as harassment in the second degree, a violation. He was taken to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
