Deputies arrested a man following an early-morning traffic stop in the Town of Palmyra.
Jason E. Chapman, 34, of the Town of Macedon was taken into custody after deputies said he failed to stop at a posted stop sign on Jeffery Road shortly after 2 a.m. Jan. 9.
Deputies said further investigation determined Chapman was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign, refusal to submit to a prescreen, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.
Chapman was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where deputies said he refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol or drug content of his blood.
He was held for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
