Police issued a criminal summons after an investigation into repeated unwanted contact in the Town of Waterloo.
The Waterloo Police Department charged a 47-year-old Geneva man with harassment in the second degree following an incident reported Monday night.
Police said officers arrested Jacob C. Hoffa after investigating allegations that he sent dozens of unwanted messages to the victim and intentionally caused the victim discomfort at public events.
The arrest occurred around 9:50 p.m. Hoffa received an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Waterloo Court at a later date, according to police.
Authorities said they requested an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
