The Northern Yates County United Way will officially dissolve at the end of 2025 due to declining donations, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Board members say fewer businesses offer payroll deductions, and economic stress has made it harder to ask workers to give. The group can no longer meet its funding commitments to local agencies.
Remaining funds will be distributed to partner organizations by year’s end.
