Deputies arrested a man after investigating a domestic incident that unfolded in the Town of Covert.
Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson identified the suspect as Stewart Woodard Jr., of Ovid. Deputies took him into custody around 6:35 p.m. Dec. 11 following an investigation into a reported domestic complaint.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies found that Woodard engaged in a domestic incident in the presence of three children under the age of 17.
Investigators say the incident involved damaged property and physical contact with the victim. Deputies also allege Woodard prevented the victim from seeking emergency services.
Woodard was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment in the second degree.
He was taken into custody and held for CAP Court.
