Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union breaks ground on new Webster branch

Leaders from Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union gathered with community members Tuesday to break ground on a new, permanent location in Webster.

The new branch will be built at 715 Ridge Road, with construction expected to wrap up by fall 2026. It will replace the current leased space just down the road, which has served members since 2004.

“Breaking ground on our new Webster office marks an incredibly proud moment for all of us at Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union,” said Bob McFadden, the credit union’s president and CEO. “Moving from a leased space into a property we own is more than a construction project—it’s a long-term investment in the Webster community and in our future.”

McFadden said the new building will allow the credit union to better serve its existing members while also expanding to meet growing demand for financial services in the area.

The groundbreaking event brought together FLFCU board members, executives, and local leaders, including Webster Chamber President Carolyn Montanaro. Attendees took part in a ceremonial shovel dig and posed for photos to mark the occasion.

Founded in 1967, Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union serves 22,000 members and holds $250 million in assets. It operates offices in Geneva, Fairport, Webster, and Phelps, and employs 50 staff members. The new Webster office will continue the credit union’s mission of offering personal and business banking services backed by local support and digital tools.
