Josh Allen added to his growing list of accolades on Wednesday, earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in 2025 and the 18th time in his career. The Buffalo Bills quarterback previously claimed the honor in Weeks 1 and 11.
Allen delivered one of his most efficient outings of the year in Buffalo’s Week 14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, completing 22-of-28 passes (78.6%) for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He also remained a major threat on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and a score on nine attempts.
His signature moment came in the second quarter with the Bills facing fourth-and-four from the Bengals’ 11 while trailing by 11. Allen extended the play, rolled away from pressure and fired a tight-window strike to Khalil Shakir in the end zone. The ensuing two-point conversion to Dawson Knox pulled Buffalo within three.
In the fourth quarter, after Cincinnati pushed its lead to two possessions, Allen needed just over a minute to engineer an answer. Three quick first-down completions set up a lane for Allen to break loose on a 40-yard touchdown run, the longest regular-season rushing score by a quarterback in franchise history. Later, following a takeaway by the defense, he hit tight end Jackson Hawes to widen the margin before icing the game with a third-down scramble that allowed Buffalo to drain the clock.
Allen’s performance also added to several historic milestones, including his NFL-record 11th game with at least three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown, and becoming the first player ever with 20-plus passing and 10-plus rushing TDs in three different seasons.
The Bills will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to face the New England Patriots at 1 p.m., looking to keep their AFC East hopes alive for at least another week.
