District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci kicked off her 2026 reelection campaign Sunday, touting her record as Cayuga County’s top prosecutor, according to The Citizen.
She’s running unopposed so far. A Republican, she took office in 2022 after serving as acting DA and winning a full term unchallenged. Her achievements include over $300,000 in public safety grants, launching an animal abuse registry, and forming a board to steer young offenders away from crime.
Democrats have until early 2026 to name a challenger.
