A long-awaited culvert repair on West Bayard Street in Seneca Falls is moving forward after the town ruled it won’t harm the environment, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The project will slip-line the aging stone culvert and repair a damaged inlet box that caused major flooding in 2023. Crews will remove debris, dredge a nearby area, and install temporary dams to keep the work zone dry.
Canal water levels may drop by up to 8 feet during repairs.
