The Romulus Volunteer Fire Department has elected its officers for 2026, naming Stacey Bennett as the department’s next chief.
Bennett will take the lead as 1361, with Tim Wolverton elected deputy chief and Nevin Hurst as assistant chief. The newly elected captain positions went to John Zimmerman and Mervin Ray Horst.
Carl Reynolds and Hunter Kersten were named lieutenants, and Cole Henderson was chosen as EMS captain.
The department also selected its new corporate officers. Bob Steele will serve as president, and Jeff Case was elected vice president.
